Hard to follow if youve never played it

First of all... ADD STATS!!! Win/loss at least... Cripes.

I dont follow some of this. Fighting a dog? When? Why? Whos turn is it? The onscreen indicators of game flow are lame. The LAYOUT needs to be changed. Looks nice. Horribly explained. Confusing layout. Saw the real game in a store. Might need to buy it so I can learn it properly because this digital version doesnt cut it.
